Lonestar is not a seasonal program. It's a true club — rooted in the European tradition of lifelong sport — where our older players coach the next generation and the community never closes.
Our primary objective is participation growth across Texas. Everything we do should expand access, awareness, and opportunity.
We prioritize long-term love of the sport over short-term results. No burnout culture. No fear-based coaching.
We build confidence, resilience, leadership, and character — not just technical skill.
We provide one of the strongest collegiate pathways in the region — without sacrificing player wellbeing or long-term participation.
We are not a seasonal program. We are a true club — from childhood through adulthood — rooted in mentorship, continuity, and belonging.
Most youth sports organizations are businesses — you pay, your child plays for a season, and you move on. Lonestar is built differently.
We modeled our club on the European tradition where sport is lifelong. Our adult members play, coach, mentor, and give back. Our youngest players see what commitment looks like from people who love the game as much as they do.
Outdoor season. The primary competitive season for schools — tournaments, league play, we support all with our own events and additional technical instruction.
Indoor season. We move to gyms for technical development, fast-paced games, and skill-focused training. Indoor develops unique skills that will help in all conditions.
Back outdoors. Development season — preparing for fall competition, building fitness, and welcoming new players. A great time to start.
We also run summer camps in June and July — a great way to try the sport for the first time or keep skills sharp between seasons.
We coach grip position, not 'try harder.' Body orientation not 'be more aggressive.' The details are where real improvement happens — and where too much coaching falls short.
No filler. No running laps to kill time. Every minute on the field is planned to maximise 'stick & ball' time, develop a specific skill, game decision, or playing habit.
A good session is hard. A great session is hard and fun. We aim for our players to leave tired and smiling.
High standards, zero intimidation. We push players because we believe in what they can become — not to prove a point. The goal is a player who wants to come back tomorrow, to keep getting better.
Absolutely — most of our players start with zero experience. We lend equipment for first sessions, pair new players with experienced coaches, and design our youngest programs specifically for beginners. The best way to start is a free trial session.
For a first session, athletic clothes, tennis shoes (not cleats), and a water bottle. We provide sticks for trial sessions. Once she joins, you'll need a stick, shin guards, and a mouth guard — we can recommend the right gear for her age group.
Seasonal fees range from $200–$540 depending on the program and tier. We never profit on tournaments — costs are pooled and split evenly. If cost is a concern, speak with us directly.
Start with a free trial session. Our coaches will assess your daughter's age, experience, and interests and recommend the right fit. Club is perfect for beginners, Academy for players wanting more development time, and Travel for competitive players.
Yes — Fall (outdoor), Winter (indoor), and Spring (outdoor). Each season is roughly 10–12 weeks. Players can join any season, though Fall is the primary competitive season.
Absolutely. Many of our adult players volunteer as coaches. We also welcome parent volunteers for tournaments, events, and community building. The club is stronger when families are involved.
Field hockey has a lower injury rate than soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. Protective equipment (shin guards, mouth guards, goalie gear) is required, and our coaches are trained in age-appropriate training methods.
We're built on the European model of lifelong sport — not a transactional seasonal business. Our adult members coach the next generation. Our coaching staff includes former international players. And our 90% college recruitment rate speaks to the quality of our pathway.
